Visit Tampere – Communications for Sustainable Travel

Visit Tampere is an expert organisation in tourism and business marketing, working to strengthen Tampere’s position as an attractive destination for travel, events and congresses both in Finland and internationally. The company is part of Business Tampere, owned by the City of Tampere. 

Focus

Sustainable tourism is one of Visit Tampere’s key communication themes. To make the messaging more consistent and impactful, the organisation needed clear core messages that would align with the City of Tampere’s broader sustainability communication and define what sustainable tourism means to visitors and stakeholders.

How we helped

We facilitated a joint workshop with Visit Tampere and the City of Tampere to define goals, audiences and key themes for sustainable tourism communication. Based on the workshop, we distilled the core messages and created a cohesive story that captures the essence of sustainable tourism in Tampere.    

 
Impact

Darling helped bring structure to a complex topic and align the city’s sustainability strategy with Visit Tampere’s communication goals. The resulting messages and narrative now form a strong foundation for sustainable tourism communication and serve as a practical tool for future marketing and content planning.
